Watch Melbourne Victory vs LA Galaxy

Bruce Arena’s Los Angeles Galaxy wrap up what has been a sensational 2011 campaign when they take on Mehmet Durakovic’s Melbourne Victory at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on Tuesday, Dec. 6. This is the final leg of the Galaxy's Asia Pacific Tour 2011.

The Galaxy are coming off a 6-1 rout of the Philippine national team and are taking on a Victory side that suffered a 3-1 defeat to the Newcastle Jets on Saturday at Ausgrid Stadium in Newcastle, New South Wales.

The midfielder paid a visit to Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital to see some sick kids, signing autographs and shaking hands with many nurses.

Later that night, celebrated local chef by the name of George Calombaris cooked dinner for Beckham at the Press Club restaurant. For Calombaris, it was an honor.

"We've had the Prime Minister, recently Sarah Jessica Parker, but this for me is the ultimate,” Calombaris told the Melbourne Herald Sun. "Football is my passion. I always said if I wasn't going to be a chef I would have been a footballer. But I was just no good at playing it, hence I'm a chef.

“We've had those discussions with (Galaxy president) Tom Payne, and we'll certainly look at that," di Pietro told Sportal’s Paddy Higgs. "The international friendly as a whole for Melbourne Victory is an important part of our planning. We had Celtic (in) pre-season. It was an enormous success. We've had Juventus in the past.

"We can't lose lots of money while we're trying to build these things, but certainly international friendlies are an important part (of Victory). And if you can establish a relationship with a club, an MLS club like LA Galaxy, on an annual basis…then those are things that we would certainly entertain."

LA Galaxy and Melbourne Victory will go head-to-head in a stellar match on December 6th, 2011 at Etihad Stadium.

At the invitation of Premier Baillieu and the State of Victoria, the world-famous LA Galaxy is travelling half-way around the world for what is set to be a blockbuster game against Melbourne’s own Victory.
